Wildlife portrays itself beautifully in its habitat. Water provides food for many animals that live in different environments. Seeing animals in Alaskan habitat shows how their life is very different from human populated areas.

Our trip to Glacier Bay was a success. As you can see we got up close and personal with the wildlife that exists in Glacier Bay National Park. We encountered tufted puffins, brown bear (grizzly) and harbor seals.

For a number of years Lindblad Expeditions has had a close relationship with New York City's School for Environmental Studies. Each year twelve talented teens are able to experience the sense of the wild by joining adventures on the Sea Lion and Sea Bird in either Baja California or Alaska. By visiting a region far removed from their day to day lives they broaden their umbrella of knowledge to include not just natural history and the culture of the region but also shipboard operations and navigation. Today as we all shared the excitement of intimate meetings with wildlife or the peace in reflections broken by sculpted ice, our budding photographers captured the moments to help us remember Glacier Bay.
