Glacier Bay
Often times I have contemplated the over-use of the word “awesome.” However, if ever there was a time for its use today was the day. Glacier Bay cast its spell over us. Around every corner, inside every inlet, wildlife and glaciers went about their business of flying, swimming, snorting, roaring, lumbering and thundering in this awesome landscape. One of the more curious animals we encountered was the mountain goat. These animals evolved to use terrain that is uninhabitable for most other animals. They live life literally on the edge! Consequently, these shaggy beasts find enough food to eat and survive so they can send their kids to the “peaks of higher education.”
