Today we experienced the beauty of one of the most incredible islands of the Galapagos: Española Island. We started our day with an optional kayak outing before breakfast. After breakfast, we had our first snorkeling experience. Guests had the opportunity to snorkel with sea lions and schools of colorful fish. We also visited Gardner Bay where we walked along a pristine white sandy beach, home to a sea lion colony.  For lunch, we enjoyed a fantastic Ecuadorian buffet with a variety of local and regional dishes. Late, guest enjoyed a presentation about photography composition. Our last visit of the day was Punta Suarez. Here, we spotted hundreds of marine iguanas, many colonies of sea lions, and many waved albatross and Nazca boobies. Our first full day of the expedition was a complete success, and everyone is excited about what is coming next during the week.
