Genovesa Island is a horseshoe shaped island located in the northeastern region of the Galapagos Archipelago. This island is known as ¨bird island¨ because of the abundance and varied species which nest here. Today we had a fantastic time surrounded by red-footed boobies, Nazca boobies, tropical birds, Darwin finches, swallow tailed gulls, storm petrels, and Galapagos mocking birds.  Our guest also enjoyed kayaking, paddle boarding and snorkeling along the cliffs inside the caldera. Today was wonderful from beginning to end, we could not have asked for a better way to fish this week onboard National Geographic Endeavour II
