Today National Geographic Endeavour II anchored inside of a caldera at Genovesa Island. We started the day with a nice walk which took us to Prince Philip’s Steps and Darwin’s Bay, where sea birds were plentiful. There was so much wildlife to see; we spotted on the endemic short-eared owl, red footed boobies, Galapagos doves, Nazca boobies, frigatebirds, swallow-tailed gulls and more! The conditions inside the caldera today were perfect for snorkeling with hammerheads sharks and paddle-boarding with marine sea turtles! It was another idyllic day of exploration in the Enchanted Isles.
