During morning walks at Bartlett Cove, we discovered a portly porcupine, moose tracks, and a chorus of singing songbirds. Afterwards, we were joined by park ranger Dan Casarella who offered us a detailed interpretation of Glacier Bay National Park as we voyaged north.

Our wildlife sightings inside the bay were nothing short of jaw-dropping. We encountered mountain goats, humpback whales, Steller sea lions, sea otters with pups, huge flocks of seabirds, and our first brown bear!

After viewing two mesmerizing glaciers, we began our journey back south towards the Inian Islands, where tomorrow we hope to learn more about the oceanographic powers that shape this vibrant ecosystem.
