On our final morning in Haida Gwaii, we had the pleasure of hosting a local weaver. He came aboard National Geographic Sea Bird and shared a demonstration on his current projects. Guests watched the weaving process and even took turns working on the loom.

The undersea team led a walk to check out some of the invertebrates living under the dock. It was a magical world of sea anemones, feather duster worms, nudibranchs, and other colorful creatures.

One of our onboard Haida Gwaii cultural specialists, DeeDee Crosby, departed the vessel. We are forever grateful to her for coming aboard and sharing her story and culture with us.

After lunch, we untied the dock lines and continued our voyage eastward to return to the mainland to carry on with our southbound adventure.
