Colonial architecture, Hemingway, antique cars, cigars – today was a full-on Havana experience!  Waking up to a beautiful sunrise illuminating our historic Hotel Nacional, we departed for Old Havana for a walking tour with local guides Daniel Alonzo and Alejandro Anido.  In the afternoon some visited Hemingway’s countryside estate Finca Vigía, while others visited the Partagas Cigar Factory and a mechanic’s garage, which restores 1950s classics.  In the evening economist Jorge Mario Sanchez explained socioeconomic reform in Cuba, and then we dined on classic Creole cuisine in the gardens of the hotel.
