National Geographic Orion’s expedition into the Society Islands continued today with a landing at the delightful, secluded island of Huahine.

We anchored just off the main town of Fare and began to shuttle guests to the jetty immediately after breakfast. Once there, guests either jumped onto the back of a four-wheel drive pick-up vehicle for a 3 hour Nui Nature Adventure, or boarded a 30-seater open air truck for a unique journey to visit cultural sites. Some of the guests even grabbed a bicycle and pedaled around the roads near Fare.

After lunch onboard, everyone spent a very relaxing day watching wonderful reef creatures at the snorkeling platform, or spending time at a remote and exclusive beach, paddling around the beautiful bay on a kayak, or navigating a stand-up-paddleboard.

It was another busy and satisfying day exploring this tropical paradise.
