The day’s excursions brought us to Québec and the beautiful, remote Îles-de-la-Madeleine, a seabound archipelago full of long sandy beaches and Acadian history. The second French-speaking islands to host the ship were charming and welcoming!
The bikers set off on e-bikes and sped along the road on an idyllic morning of exploration. Grey seals and seabirds dotted the coastline, with gulls and gannets showing up against the grey sky. Hikers took in the landscape more slowly and stopped to enjoy the views. Meanwhile, the highlights tour bus brought people to the points of interest on the island, including lighthouses, a beach, and a herring processing building!
In the evening, the talented Gilles Lapierre and Evan Martinet performed traditional music in the lounge.
