A steady rain couldn’t dampen our spirits as we explored the Inian Islands this morning. Weaving through rocks and reefs, we sighted a host of marine life highlighted by several humpback whales. In the afternoon we moved to nearby Canyon Creek on Chichagof Island for a variety of hikes through old growth forest and muskegs while others took advantage of the calm water to go kayaking. Our persistence was rewarded with a reasonably dry afternoon and spectacular views of these wild places.
