National Geographic Delfina sailed the northern seas of Galapagos and crossed the equator early in the morning heading to the youngest part of the archipelago. In the morning, we explored the coast of Punta Vicente Roca by Zodiac, and later we jumped from the Zodiacs to the ocean to snorkel with abundant marine life. Our snorkeling was outstanding, and we saw penguins, flightless cormorants, marine iguanas, sea lions, and many species of multicolor fish, What a great journey!

In the afternoon, we went to visit Fernandina Island, one of the most pristine places on our planet and a very active volcano. To walk among huge black iguanas was amazing, and a Galapagos hawk put on a great show, catching and eating a juvenile iguana in front of our eyes. Sea lions were swimming at the intertidal zone, and the volcanic scenery was breathtaking. We finished our afternoon with a wine tasting event on the sundeck as the sun was setting to toast our incredible day.
