With a cup of coffee in hand, we gathered on the bow of National Geographic Islander II to enjoy an amazing sunrise while observing the birds at Rounded Rock in the west of the archipelago.

After breakfast, we celebrated as we crossed the equator and spotted pilot whales and common dolphins on the way to Vicente Roca Point. We did a Zodiac exploration of the coastline and snorkeled with many sea turtles, sea lions, Galapagos penguins, and flightless cormorants.

We spent the afternoon at Espinosa Point, where we walked among hundreds of marine iguanas, baby sea lions, and an amazing volcanic landscape.
