Today we explored the youngest region of the Galapagos Islands.
Majestic volcanoes rise from the bottom of the sea to create this outstanding ecosystem that we can enjoy from different perspectives, observing its landscapes from National Geographic Islander II or from Zodiacs.
On land and in the water, we encountered incredible naïve wildlife and landscapes. Walking on young volcanic rocks where sea lions and iguanas hang out is just unbelievable. Seabirds, like penguins and flightless cormorants, are found nowhere else on earth. Swimming with turtles and hundreds of fish is a fantastic experience. This is all part of what makes exploring the Galapagos Islands so amazing.
