After a gorgeous sunrise in Magdalena Bay, our guests disembarked National Geographic Venture to explore Isla Magdalena, one of the barrier islands that protects the bay. We set out with our natural history staff on various walks, identifying endemic desert plants along the way. At the top of the hill, we were rewarded with a sweeping view of the Pacific Ocean. Back on board, guests enjoyed a wonderful lunch. In the afternoon, guests went ashore to enjoy beach time, snorkeling, and kayaking. We capped it off with a fun cocktail hour hosted by a local band, Los Coyotes. After another fabulous dinner, guests enjoyed an evening lecture by Carlos Navarro. What a fantastic and wonderful day!
