Today was the first full day of expedition onboard National Geographic Islander in the Galapagos Islands, and we had already collected so many wonderful photos and memories. We had an early start visiting Bartolome Island. After hiking to the top of Bartolome and enjoying superb views, we went on to enjoy the pristine beach of this magical island. After this, guests enjoyed deep water snorkeling where they had several encounters with wonderful marine creatures, including octopus and a manta ray!

For lunch, our crew prepared a tasty Ecuadorian buffet, so everyone had the opportunity to try some local delicacies. In the afternoon, we navigated towards Rabida Island. This island is known for its colourful red sand beach and palo santo forest which creates an astonishing landscape. In Rabida, we had opportunities to kayak, paddle board, snorkel, or simply stroll along the beach, so everyone had a lot fun with all these exciting options. It was an awesome day complete with great weather, nice people, amazing food and wonderful wildlife.
