This morning we anchored in front of Korcula Island around 8 a.m. The sky was a bit dark and cloudy with rain about to start, but all of that together did not spoil the view from the ship of the magnificent old town in front of us.

First on our program was a guided city tour. Rain started at the beginning of it, but in this beautiful old town it was quite easy to find a nice sheltered place. Our visit included the famous cathedral of St. Marko with its treasury and museum of Brotherhood of All Saints. After the tour it was the perfect time for shopping. Korcula is known as the best place in Croatia to buy a coral jewelry.

Another thing that Korcula is known for is the Moreska sword dance. This performance was once very popular across the Mediterranean, and it is preserved and danced still today only in Korcula. A performance of the Moreska was organized for our group at 11:15 a.m. and we enjoyed it a lot. Afterwards we had a bit of time to wander around Korcula before departing.

The afternoon was nice and relaxed time at sea between Korcula and Mljet. We enjoyed sailing time, Tom's lecture about the plague, and made our final purchases in the Sea Cloud boutique. We were even lucky enough to take part in a photo safari in which we circled the Sea Cloud to get pictures with its sails catching the wind. After dinner some enjoyed watching summer thunderstorm around us.

Another day on this expedition is over, and we are very eager to explore Hvar tomorrow.
