Today aboard National Geographic Venture, our expedition continued to Lake Eva, Alaska. It was a delightful blend of hiking and kayaking along the shoreline. We set out early in the morning, enjoying the calm waters and the stunning views of the surrounding landscape as we paddled close to the shore.
After kayaking, we embarked on a scenic hike along the creek where we were thrilled to see an abundance of salmon swimming upstream. The lush greenery along the trail provided a beautiful backdrop, and we were fortunate to spot majestic eagles soaring overhead, adding to the day’s wildlife encounters. We also came across bear scat, a reminder of the wildlife that inhabits this pristine area. The combination of the serene environment and the thrill of exploration made for an engaging day.
As the sun began to set, we returned to National Geographic Venture filled with stories and a deep appreciation for the beauty of Lake Eva. Today was truly a memorable adventure in the heart of Alaska’s wilderness.
