A full day dictated an early start, with the promise of a festive brunch when we returned from cruising the icebergs at the terminal moraine of the Le Conte Glacier. The sun occasionally threatened to ruin the perfect southeastern Alaska ambiance, but never made good, so without exception we all enjoyed nice hot showers on our return to the ship.

In the afternoon, many guests opted for a trip into Petersburg, to absorb the local vibe, while others decided on dock walks and bog walks to fill in the gaps in their local knowledge base.

The bergs were beautiful in their wonderful palette of blues, and many fantastic forms were seen in the ice.
