This morning a light drizzle gave the welcome to one of the most beautiful national parks of Costa Rica, the famous Manuel Antonio, well known for its white sand beaches and the rich number of fauna that can be found in it. As the morning advanced and the sun started to warm up, our guests got more and more excited for the disembarkation moment, and just in time the drizzle started to disappear. We boarded the inflatable boats and headed to shore, ready for a new adventure.

We divided into smaller groups of long hikers, short hikers and photographers, each led by our team of naturalists who were ready to share the secrets of the rain forest. As the naturalists started their walks the animals started to appear: iguanas, lizards, sloths, and agouties, among others; none was able to escape the sight of our experienced guides, allowing all our guests to enjoy an amazing time at this national park.

The morning passed and the expectations were exceeded for everyone, but we had the rest of the day to enjoy this little piece of paradise for a bit longer.

Back at National Geographic Sea Lion, Erika Larsen, our special guest and professional photographer from National Geographic Society, was getting ready to share her experiences with all of us.

The day couldn’t have ended better: an amazing sunset and a group of dolphins that were swimming in the calm waters of the Costa Rican Pacific Ocean were the “perfect photo” for many of our guests, making this moment one more of the many new memories written in the book of their lives.
