It was right before sunrise when National Geographic Sea Lion dropped anchor in front of Costa Rica’s smallest National Park. It was Manuel Antonio National Park, which has an area of 1,685 acres of protected forest and it is surrounded by developments. This park is well known for the lovely white sand beaches, for the amount of medium size mammals and the absence of big cats.
We had the opportunity to explore several of its trails, like Punta Catedral and Sloth Valley Trail. Our guests were so delighted with the wildlife found in the park that many decided to return after lunch to explore the trails by their own. The white sand and the tropical waters invited our guests to swim right after the walks. What a great way to finish our exploration in Panama and Costa Rica!
