We awoke to another beautiful morning of Aegean sun feeling the gentle motion of Sea Cloud as she sailed north into the continuing meltemi wind. During breakfast, the captain turned the ship to the south to enable the lower topsails to be set, and we sailed the morning at 6 knots under wind power. Nautical archaeologist Rebecca Ingram offered a superb talk on Ancient Aegean seafaring, and afterwards, guests participated in tours of the engine room or simply relaxed on the decks to enjoy the great sailing weather.  Around noon, Sea Cloud arrived in the caldera harbor of the island of Milos and dropped anchor off the port town of Adamantis. In the afternoon, we tendered in to enjoy an island tour by bus that included archeological/ historical stops, general overview of the landscape and a late afternoon visit to a spectacular beach for refreshments and a swim on the south coast.
