Misty Fjords National Monument lived up to its name as the National Geographic Sea Bird explored the shoreline of this incredible landscape today. We barely touched the surface of this 2.2 million acre wilderness, but we were certainly not disappointed by the scenery we encountered. We cruised between fog covered granite cliffs, forests of spruce, cedar and western hemlock, passed by waterfalls and admired brown bears and a variety of birds. A bit of every activity was offered today including kayaking, Zodiac cruises and stand up paddle boarding. A few brave souls even took the plunge into the frigid waters of Rudyerd Bay!
