Today we woke to a calm breeze off the eastern Ionian Sea. The sails were up and running and the morning was perfect for sailing. We had to fix our watches an hour ahead as we had entered into a new time zone.
After breakfast we went to the bow of the ship for a photography workshop with our photography expert. We learnt how to take a picture of a bright subjects in motion, which culminated in us taking the iconic shot of the sails of the Sea Cloud.
Once we’d put our cameras away, cultural expert and historian Robin Woodward prepared us for our upcoming visit to the Palace of Nestor archaeological site with a talk about the Myceneans.
After lunch we had the opportunity to refresh our taste of Italy by watching the 1972 Academy Award-winning classic film The Godfather.
We finished a spectacular day of sailing with a special surprise dinner prepared by our Chef Daniel Ditloff.
A nice sunset with our square sails up with a magical navigation along the Ionic sea.
