Ice and blue skies welcomed us as we continued on our journey through the stunning and wild waters of Svalbard. There were several seals scattered out on the ice and with that, we were lucky to have more polar bear encounters. We had the pleasure of watching a few female and healthy-looking bears curiously watching us back.

Out on the ice we spotted a group of walruses, and through the spotting scopes we could see small pups as well!

To give our binocular eyes a well-deserved rest, the hotel team arranged a lovely winetasting. Then it was time to again turn our attention to the outdoors, as we were passing the impressive and gorgeous Austfonna, an icecap with an impressive glacier front about 160 km long.
