This morning we had an early start to explore North Seymour Island, located at the center of the archipelago. This excursion afforded us amazing close views of blue-footed boobies, land and marine iguanas, frigatebirds from both species present in the Galapagos, as well as sea lions along the coast.

For the afternoon we enjoyed a great time in the water at the beautiful red sandy beach of Rabida Island. Many colorful tropical fish, sea lions, sea turtles, and rays were the main attractions during snorkeling. Afterwards we strolled along the beach and explored a brackish pond where we found some American flamingoes.

We definitely had a perfect first full day of our Galapagos experience today!
