Another successful Antarctic expedition culminated at the magnificent Orne Harbor. As guests emerged from their cabins, the ship navigated towards the anchorage passing by a number of humpback whales. The morning’s activities included a final continental landing as well as a Zodiac cruise. Neither option disappointed; hikers summited the hill to spectacular vistas and cruisers enjoyed close-up encounters with some very obliging humpbacks.

As we made our way back onto the Gerlache Strait, a pod of type B killer whales were spotted allowing our whale experts to launch the Zodiacs and collect some samples, which was great for all to observe. That wasn’t the end of the action though as guests were treated to more views of humpbacks and a display of exceptional skippering around the Antarctic Ice before a final killer whale send off.
