An early wake up for all the enthusiastic birders and photographers to get the best of the morning light and birds activity. As our expedition leader organized it, we all got ready for our early expedition landing craft cruise on the “Agujitas”, a magical river.

This gorgeous river has become a sanctuary for monkeys, lizards, toucans and many other bird species full of colors and ready to be capture by our cameras.

Upon our return to the National Geographic Sea Lion for a great breakfast and recharge energy for the visit to Caletas reserve, a private protected area that is in the buffer zone of the Corcovado National Park. At our arrival, a troop of white-throated capuchin monkeys gave us a great welcome, young adults and even mothers with babies were the main attraction of the morning.

In the afternoon we had the opportunity to choose between a 3 different hikes, each one offers a different experience of Corcovado National Park. The powerful hike for those that were looking for a bit more exercise, for those seeking a lighter walk, the Pargo trail was the best choice, and finally, for those looking to refresh in the middle of the rain forest, the waterfall hike gave us a swimming opportunity.

Lastly, a gorgeous sunset closed another wonderful day in paradise.
