We are in the furthest region of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. Today we entered the kingdom of pink dolphins, monkeys, macaws, and caimans! This part of the reserve is just amazing as there is wildlife in abundance as we explored the forest. Along the river we spotted hundreds of cormorants, large-billed terns, and flocks of macaws!
As we departed in the early morning, the sightings were special. Birds were foraging and others were forming large flocks, ready to start the day in this vast jungle. Possibly the best sightings were the blue and yellow macaws foraging and flying just a few feet away!
