Early in the morning as the sun was rising, we boarded our skiffs to explore a beautiful, narrow creek, a tributary of the Marañón River. We were welcomed by squirrel monkeys, cocoi herons, Amazon kingfishers, and pink river dolphins.

After breakfast, we hiked through a high-ground forest maintained by the local community. Our guests had the chance to learn about the mind-blowing web of life in the Amazon where the intricate interconnectedness between plants and animals allows for the vast biodiversity found only in this region.

In the afternoon, we explored Nauta Creek by kayak and spotted gray river dolphins. Later, we ventured deeper into the creek by skiff, surrounded by layers upon layers of lush green vegetation with towering trees emerging above the canopy, all resonating with the sounds of the forest. Among our sightings were scarlet macaws, channel-billed toucans, and saddleback tamarin monkeys. It was yet another wonderful day in the Amazon.
