What a bittersweet day as we spent our last moments on the Antarctic Peninsula, soaking in all the breathtaking views this location has to offer. We started our morning with Zodiac cruises through Paradise Harbour, enjoying unbelievable reflections off cliffsides and glaciers in the calm, smooth waters. We were lucky enough to spot a young Weddell seal resting on an iceberg, and some of us observed an iceberg flipping over.

We spent our afternoon exploring Neko Harbour. It was an experience for all our senses — hearing a glacier calving and brash ice as our Zodiac cruised through Andvord Bay, smelling the well-established penguin colony, tasting the fresh snowflakes, and seeing a humpback whale and the gorgeous reflections of the deep blue of the icebergs on the still water.

As we end our time in Antarctica, we are reminded that our pictures are much like icebergs — they are incredibly beautiful souvenirs of a time spent on this gorgeous and pure land, but they surely don’t even scratch the surface of the awe-inspiring and magical place we have spent the last week exploring!
