Our morning in Pavlof Bay was nothing short of spectacular. At the falls, we observed two adolescent bears expertly maneuvering over slippery rocks, competing for salmon. A mother bear and her three cubs were a heartwarming sight as she guided them through the fishing process, despite their occasional clumsiness. Observing these bears in their natural habitat was truly a gift we gladly received.

In the afternoon, we set out on the water of Chatham Strait and were rewarded with an incredible display of humpback whales. They performed a variety of surface behaviors, such as logging but even threw in a few breaches for our guests. Each display was a mesmerizing reminder of the ocean's grandeur and the vibrant marine life it supports.

Our day concluded with a sense of wonder and appreciation for the natural world. From the bears’ fishing prowess to the whales’ playful antics, it was a day filled with unforgettable wildlife encounters.
