After another overnight crossing of the Straits of Malacca, we arrived back in Malaysia this morning for a visit to the historic trading port of Penang. Located on a small island off the mainland coast, this vibrant little city still shows many influences of the Islamic Sultanate, Portuguese, Dutch, and British periods that have shaped its past, all of which we explored on tours focused on food, photography, and nature.
