Today we explored the charming town of Petersburg, Alaska known as, “The Town that Fish Built.” It’s nestled in a Norwegian fishing village and guests enjoyed a peaceful day engaging in various activities. Some chose the Haa Aani, “Our Homeland” tour, a cultural nature walk led by local guides, while others opted for a bike ride around Mitkof Island. Additional adventures included hiking through the unique muskeg (Alaskan peat bog) and embarking on a Zodiac ride in the harbor to observe the fishing fleet and local wildlife.
Back on National Geographic Quest, the expedition team delighted guests with a fashion show featuring T-shirts designed by local artist, Ray Troll. The evening culminated with a delectable crab feast, bringing a perfect end to a splendid day. The day was filled with smiles, bellies full of blueberries, and hearts brimming with wonderful memories.
