We have been traveling from Panama to Costa Rica and along the way, we have experienced the engineering wonder of the Panama Canal and an incredible amount of nature. Today we did something still different: experienced the culture of Costa Rica.
The National Geographic Quest anchored in front of Playa Blanca in the Osa Peninsula and from there we visited Costa Rican families that devote their property to activities such as a cacao plantation, heart of palm plantations, a sugar cane artesanal mil, and gold panning. We visited this families not only to see their work but to meet some local families and hear about their lifestyles in communities surrounded by the tropical rainforest.
