After many days of enjoying the nature of Panama and Costa Rica, today we did something different. We went in to the communities of the Osa Peninsula to be able to meet the people who live among the protected areas we enjoy so much.
The National Geographic Quest anchored in front of Playa Blanca in the Osa Peninsula and from there we visited Costa Rican families that devote their property to activities such as Cacao plantations, heart of palm plantations, a sugar cane artesanal mil, and gold panning. We visited these families not only to see their work but to meet some local families and learn about their lifestyles in communities surrounded by the tropical rainforest.
