South Plazas Island is a small Island next to Santa Cruz Island, which is the second largest Island in Galapagos. Next to South Plazas there is also North Plaza Island, which has been a stop for visitors since the creation of the Galapagos National park. This gave the researches the opportunity to compare these two tiny Islands and observe any impact left by people. So far the only difference is that South Plaza has a trail and North Plaza does not. So far, no human impact has been found on the Island.
After a two hour navigation we arrived at Santa Fe Island which is a good place for snorkeling, kayaking, and paddle boarding. These activities gave us the opportunity to enjoy the islands from a different perspective.
We also had a chance to explore the Islands to look for the Santa Fe land iguana which is found on this Island only.
