Today we headed out on a pre-breakfast outing to explore more exotic inhabitants of the Peruvian rainforest.  We went on a ride along the river to spot a large number on birds and a couple of mammals on the riverbank.  A couple of scarlet macaws flew against the clear sky. There were some early riser species seen on the tree canopy. A couple of woodpeckers, male and female were seen on the top of a death tree, a big flock on large billed terns were spotted fishing near our skiffs and a sleepy sloth was wrapped around a tall rubber tree.

After the skiff ride, we had the opportunity to visit a local shaman, who explained about the properties of all the medicinal plants she was using to cure the local people from common illnesses.  While listening to the explanation of the shaman, a pigmy marmoset was spotted climbing down a nearby tree, fortunately allowing us to photograph it.

After lunch, we visited “Amazon Natural Park” where we a hiked into the deepness of the rainforest. Along the way we spotted a couple of pink toed tarantulas, a squirrel monkey jumping between the trees and a couple of toucans perched on top of the canopy. Soon, we arrived to an area where there were hanging bridges, and we crossed all of them, allowing us to photograph from a different angle and closer to the canopy of the rainforest.
