Today we woke up in Puerto Ayora, on the central island of Santa Cruz. We dedicated the whole day to exploring volcanic landscapes and witnessing the magnificent Galapagos giant tortoises. We started our day by exploring one of the largest lava tunnels in Galápagos; later we moved on to El Trapiche, a family-owned farm where we learned about the traditional ways of life of the people of the Highlands. Later we visited the twin craters, another incredible geological formation. After lunch, we had the opportunity to observe the giant tortoises of Santa Cruz in their natural habitat. Before going to bed, we enjoyed a visit from a group of local musicians — a great way to end a fantastic day!
