Spanning over 80 km in length and over 30km at its widest point, the Rangiroa Atoll is the largest in the Tuamotu Archipelago and the 3rd largest in the world.  Comprised of over 100 motu (small low lying coral and sand islands), Rangiroa harbors a dizzying array of marine life and is home to some rare and endemic species of birds.  Today we concluded our week-long expedition in French Polynesia exploring this magnificent island paradise, both from above and below.
