Today was a pure atoll day for us, beginning with snorkeling, diving, and an amazing visit to a castaway couple who have been living alone on Raroia for over 20 years. In the afternoon we boarded the Zodiacs and navigated through a very narrow channel, into the lagoon of Takume for a beach landing that featured ice cream, strolling in the crystal clear shallows, and meeting a particularly friendly member of the local wildlife.
