This is the one of the oldest island in the archipelago and has one of the highest degree of endemism in the Galapagos. This morning we will explore the north-eastern side of the island known as Punta Pitt, named like this by British admirals who mapped the archipelago in the 1800s. Punta Pitt is one of the most scenic places in the Galapagos with the ancient eroded cones and surrounded by deep blue waters, this is also the home of the three kinds of boobies, Nazca, blue and red footed boobies.

After lunch, we anchored in front of a very impressive ash formation called Cerro Brujo, this is one the few places visited by Charles Darwin in 1835 as he climbed the spatter cones seen behind the white sand beach our guests explored this afternoon.
