Today, we visited Punta Pitt on San Cristobal Island. Our day began with an early morning hike before breakfast as the first rays of sunlight broke the horizon. We landed on the beach and made our way inland, where we saw numerous blue-footed boobies nesting along the trail. In the trees, red-footed boobies and magnificent frigatebirds were a delight.
After breakfast, we returned to the beach for snorkeling, where we enjoyed the company of curious and playful Galapagos sea lions. The experience was unforgettable, blending breathtaking wildlife encounters with the serene beauty of the island.
In the afternoon, after a short navigation, we arrived at Cerro Brujo, a spectacular white sandy beach home to sea lions and land birds such as the San Cristobal mockingbird, which is endemic to the island. We kayaked along the coast and then headed to the beach. There, we enjoyed our last snorkeling session of this beautiful week aboard our beloved National Geographic Islander II. The experience was a perfect conclusion to an incredible adventure.
