It was a day to enjoy the Upper Amazon and we all got ready for a new experience this morning, a visit to the San Francisco Community to meet the lovely people that live in this part of the world. A very touching and an invaluable experience for everyone at this village.

As we all walk around we got invited to some of the locals’ houses, they showed us how their lives are and what do they do for a living. They really shared who they are, a very special experience for us.

The visit to the village was not complete without the visit to the local school, the place to meet the “future” of San Francisco, after all, the Amazon will be in their hands one day soon. A day to remember, a day to help, a day to enjoy this lovely little village.

The day wouldn’t be complete without a skiff ride and more flora and fauna to discover and enjoy. Once on the skiff we navigate across the Clavero Lake to reach the very narrow canals. Birds such as the black-capped donacobious, red-capped cardinal and kingfishers were just some of the many animals we got to see and enjoy.

After a great afternoon it was time for all of us to go back to the Delfin II and share a day full of new stories in the lounge as we enjoyed a gorgeous sunset.
