Today we explored Santa Cruz Island which offers a unique experience with diverse activities. We visited the Charles Darwin Foundation Center, a traditional sugar cane and coffee farm, and a hydroponic farm. In addition to our offered activities, our guests had a great opportunity to shop along Puerto Ayora. Exploring Puerto Ayora gave us a chance to understand how humans can live in harmony with nature.
To continue learning about Galapagos conservation, we had a scientist from the Charles Darwin Foundation onboard sharing with us very important and interesting information about giant tortoises.
Finally, after dinner a local musical group played Ecuadorian and Galapagos traditional music. A highlight of the performance was the traditional costumes they were wearing.
