As we sailed into our fourth full day in the amazing Galapagos Archipelago, we kept exploring the island of Santa Cruz. First, we stopped by uninhabited Cerro Dragon and walked through the leeward side within the well-dominant arid zone. Among palo santos and Darwin’s cottons, we encountered an active population of the endemic Galapagos land iguana. Further into the day, we explored Santa Cruz’s underwater world full of colorful fish.

For our second stop, we headed north to Bahía Borrero. As we paddled kayaks or rode in Zodiacs, we witnessed the richness and diversity of the mangrove zone of Santa Cruz among turtles and baby sharks. Finally, we concluded our day circumnavigating Daphne Major while tasting wine and were surrounded by a curious pod of bottlenose dolphins! The day could not have ended more perfectly.
