Located at the center part of the archipelago, Santa Cruz Island is the second largest island in the Galapagos where the national park services and the Charles daring research center have their headquarters. This is also home for the world famous giant tortoises our highlights for the day.
Today we went searching for giant tortoises in the morning for the babies at the rearing center and in the afternoon at their natural state.
We also had the opportunity to visit a local farm to see how the process the sugar cane and coffee.
A very big day since we all wanted to see the world famous giant tortoises from the Galapagos Islands.
