Today was our last full day in the Galapagos. Our final destination was Santa Fe Island and San Cristobal Island. We started our last expedition at Santa Fe in the early morning. This small island has unique wildlife and flora. Here we spotted an endemic land iguana and a cactus with a very large trunk. Soon after, we started water activities with deep water snorkeling. We observed sea lions and various colorful fish. The grand finale was at Cerro Brujo Beach, a white sand beach with blue skies, puffy clouds, a turquoise ocean, waves, and sea lions. We had a lot of fun.
Our last sunset was impressive and made us melancholy, bringing up a mix of feelings as we were absorbed by our memories of this wonderful and surreal week.
