Today is our last full day in the Galapagos Islands. Early in the morning our final excursion took us to a small central island called Santa Fe. This island has a high endemism, including a land iguana that only lives here and a cactus that has a trunk like a tree. Also, snorkeling here is impressive, with sea lions, turtles, rays, sharks, and all kinds of fish. This week was particularly special because we saw a volcanic eruption, dolphins, whales and much, much more.
We continued to San Cristobal for an exploration of a mile long, white sandy beach. We walked and enjoyed the waves and went for a swim. This was a fun way to end our expedition in the Galapagos.
Farewell and safe travels to all our guests who have now bonded with nature in this magical destination.
