Today is the last day of our expedition in the Galapagos Islands. Santa Fe calls us to admire her stunning beauty. A turquoise-colored bay with two sandy beaches are our amazing landing sites for our excursions. There are sea lion colonies at the peak of their mating season, and young sea lions (the result of last year’s season) are everywhere. Some even come to greet us as we arrive. Land iguanas, mockingbirds, doves, flycatchers, lava lizards, and more also participate in welcoming us.

Cerro Brujo on San Cristobal Island is heaven on earth. It has the most beautiful, fine white sand and is surrounded by turquoise waters and decorated with black lava rocks. This is a magical place to say goodbye to the Islands and National Geographic Islander II. Hope to see you again!
